Addis Fortune is the largest English weekly newspaper in Ethiopia. Having spent six months of 2014 travelling East Africa I accepted a freelance sub-editor role. Towards the end of 2014 I sub-edited all news, feature and comment articles, including contributions from native Addis Abeba journalists discussing local events to worldwide development essays by United Nations development leaders. Working to strict deadlines each week I ensured the house style guide was followed, that headlines were punchy and compelling, that captions were succinct and that the standard of all content online and in print was excellent.

Pumpkin PR is one of the top five independent PR agencies in the UK. From 2007 to 2011 I worked as senior account director managing PR for a range of creative services agencies. My role required managing press relations and ghostwriting everything from short comment pieces to 2000 word articles about the various industries my clients worked in. My greatest achievement in this role was managing the DDB London account, which involved regularly ghostwriting incisive industry commentary on behalf of Executive Chairman Stephen Woodford and Executive Managing Director Nick Fox.
Feedback:
Nick Fox, Executive Managing Director: Hannah always manages to quickly research a market area and produce intelligent analytical commentary on behalf of many DDB senior staff.
